It's amazing to me how fast time went, yet how long ago that night feels, all at the same time. I remember driving to the hospital, telling Jarrod that it was probably a false alarm and that we were going to be sent home. I remember calling Nick to tell him I needed him to get me a sub for the next day. Tonya answered the phone. All I said was, "Tonya, it's Jen. Is Nick there?" and she said, "Are you in labor?!?!?" :) I texted everyone telling them I was admitted. Jarrod was so supportive and tried to be as helpful as he could, even though he was exhausted. We both were...we'd both worked all day Monday before going to the hospital that night.
Now our little bug is 1!

It was great to spend some more time with Jarrod. We had dinner with some managers from Sam's and just hung out together. The next time he'll be home it will be time for Gavin's birthday party! Wow!!!

And, pulling all the DVDs and books off their shelves was another favorite time. I think we probably put things back on these shelves 2 or 3 times a day.
- How to dance every time he hears music (and sometimes when there's no music at all!
- How to give kisses on demand. Wet baby kisses are adorable!
- How to climb steps...while at Grandma and Grandpa Peters' house for our early Easter dinner, he climbed up three steps on his own.
- How to shake his head no (and he knows what he's doing!) Funny story about this...When Jarrod first got home, he said something to Gavin and it sounded like Gavin replied, "Yeah." I started laughing and said I love how it sounds like he is answering us sometimes. Jarrod then asked, "Gavin, has mommy been reading to you like she's supposed to?" He looked at us, smiled, then very deliberately started shaking his head no. That was the first time he ever did that. Now...he shakes his head no when I ask him something, try to feed him, and when he's doing something he's not supposed to do, like taking outlets covers off.
Gavin was sick at the beginning of spring break, but the doctor said it was just a cold. When he was getting worse near the end of our trip, we decided to take him back as soon as we got home. Sure enough, his first ear infection! After a few days on Amoxicillin, he's doing much better!
Gatlinburg update and pictures later this evening. But for now, a few of Gavin's first Easter...
Getting his first Easter basket from Grandma and Grandpa! Gotta love Elmo. Inside his Elmo basket, was his very first Elmo stuffed animal, an Elmo bib, a new book, and a Barney DVD. Showing Maddie my new Elmo! Family Easter picture
Looking so cute! This was Tyler first Easter sweater.
