I've already told this story a few times, but I thought I'd go ahead and tell everyone else that's interested. Gavin's fever got higher through the day on Saturday despite three doses of Tylenol. Around 9, I changed his second diarrhea diaper (TMI I know...but he's a baby!) and his fever was 102.5. I called the doctor on call. While waiting for her to call me back, he threw up all over me. So, needless to say, she told me to head to Children's to have him looked at. Of course this would happen when Jarrod's in New York, right? When we got to the hospital, there were only a few families in the waiting room, so I didn't think it would be too long...lesson learned. Three hours later we were heading home with the same diagnosis the pediatrician gave us earlier in the day...it's a virus. I was so glad that they didn't have to do bloodwork or anything. His fever got to 103.2 at the hospital so they gave him Motrin. My new favorite drug - it worked so much better than the Tylenol did. So, here we are, Monday morning. He's still running a low fever, and he's coughing, but he's able to breath through his nose and he seems to be doing a lot better. I think we're on the tail end of this virus...hopefully!

...it pours! Looks like mommy gets a new car. The Honda is nearing the end of its life, so it's time to look for a more reliable car for Gavin and I to get around in. It just didn't come at the best time, but what else would I expect, right? The laptop crashes, it's time for my student loan to kick in, and Gavin has his first fever, amongst other things.

That's what Gavin is up to right now...he's up on his hands and knees and scooting all over the place. He's definitely figured out how to get where he wants to go, even though he's not crawling yet. It's so cute to see him rocking back and forth. He's also rolling in both directions very easily now. I think it's time to babyproof...
